Michael Jackson's personal physician Dr Conrad Murray has been placed on suicide watch at the Los Angeles County Jail, according to new reports.

Hours after he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the June, 2009 death of the King of Pop, Murray was handcuffed and remanded without bail after a judge branded him a 'danger to society'.

The 58-year-old cardiologist is awaiting a scheduled November 29 sentencing, which could see him serve up to four years behind bars.
